From September 2009, Scout Fellowship is changing its name - it becomes Scout Active Support. Active Support retains and builds upon the key strengths of Fellowship, flexibility, experience and support - and adopts a name that reflects exactly what it does: support Scouting.

Active Support Units can be established at Group, District or County level with the GSL or Commissioner agreeing their role by defining a service agreement with the unit.

As Fellowship transitions to Active Support Units, there will be a change in structure moving from Chair, Treasurer and Secretary to Active Support Managers and Co-ordinators.

The transitional period will run through until 31st December 2010.
